Durness is a small coastal village, perched on the craggy northern coastline of Sutherland. To me it is a beautiful, remote wilderness, but at the same time serene, and on certain days, and in certain light, quite magical.
John Lennon also shared the same passion for Durness. He spent many summer holidays there in his youth. Some people say it even inspired his later creations.
